Fresno is the capitol of the San Joaquin Valley, also known as the gateway to Yosemite National Park, Kings Canyon National Park and very near to Sequoia National Park. Fresno is the center of the San Joaquin Valley, the southern portion of California's Central Valley.

Clovis is right next to Fresno and has a national ranked school district, has a country feel way of life. Lying at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, which includes Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks, Clovis has been known as "Gateway to the Sierras" since its incorporation in 1912.

Although the San Joaquin Valley is predominantly rural, it does contain urban centers such as Fresno, Bakersfield, Stockton, Modesto, Tulare, Visalia, and Merced. There are wonderful small country towns that have so much to offer like Fowler, Sanger, Friant, Madera, Kerman, Selma, Calwa and Malaga.
